• The Hellenization of the region accelerated under Roman and early Byzantine rule, and by the early centuries AD the local Indo-European Anatolian languages had become extinct, being replaced by the Koine Greek language.
  تسارعت عملية الهيلينة في المنطقة في ظل الحكم الروماني وفي بداية العصر البيزنطي، وبحلول القرون المبكرة، انقرضت اللغات الأناضولية المحلية، واستبدلت بها اللغة الكوينية اليونانية.
