  على الرغم من ان المبادل الحراري الأرضي تحتاج إلى تكلفة ابتدائية عالية ولكن تكلفة التشغيل السنوية تكون منخفضة لأنها تعمل بكفاءة عالية وتبدأ عملها بدرجة حرارة عالية نسبيا عن الهواء في فصل الشتاء.
