• On May 27, 2015, following the retitling of the case to McDermott v. Ige, the court ruled that the appellants did not have standing to challenge the constitutionality of the Hawaii Marriage Equality Act, vacated the lower court's order and remanded the case back to the circuit court "with instructions to dismiss the case for lack of jurisdiction."
