• On 19 July 2008, Al Jazeera TV broadcast a program from Lebanon that covered the "welcome-home" festivities for Samir Kuntar, a Lebanese terrorist who had been imprisoned in Israel for killing several people in a Palestine Liberation Front raid from Lebanon into Israel.
  في 19 يوليو 2008، بثت قناة الجزيرة برنامجًا من لبنان غطى احتفالات "استقبال" سمير قنطار، المناضل اللبناني الذي سجن في إسرائيل لقتله عدة أشخاص في هجوم شنته جبهة التحرير الفلسطينية من لبنان على إسرائيل.
• In exchange, Israel returned Palestine Liberation Front militant Samir Kuntar, who was convicted of murder in Israel, Nasim Nisr, a Lebanese man of Jewish heritage who had immigrated to Israel and spied for Hezbollah, and Mahir Kourani, Mohammad Surour, Hussain Sulaiman and Khadr Zaidan, four Hezbollah militants taken prisoner by Israel in the 2006 Lebanon War.
  في المقابل أطلقت إسرائيل سراح عضو جبهة التحرير الفلسطينية سمير القنطار الذي أدين بارتكاب جريمة قتل في إسرائيل وماهر كوراني ومحمد سرور وحسين سليمان وخضر زيدان الأربعة المقاتلين من حزب الله الذين أسرتهم إسرائيل في حرب لبنان 2006.
