• Thirty years before Richard Attenborough's film Gandhi, Gabriel Pascal had a written agreement with the prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru to produce a movie of Gandhi's life.
  قبل ثلاثين عاماً من فيلم ريتشارد أتينبورو " غاندي" ، كان لدى غابريال باسكال اتفاق مكتوب مع رئيس وزراء الهند جواهر لال نهرو لإنتاج فيلم عن حياة غاندي .
• The incumbent prime minister of India is Narendra Modi who has headed the BJP-led NDA government since 26 May 2014 which is India's first non-Congress single party majority government.

• The violence in Delhi was triggered by the assassination of Indira Gandhi, India's prime minister, on 31 October 1984, by two of her Sikh bodyguards in response to her actions authorising the military operation.
  اندلعت أعمال العنف في دلهي نتيجة اغتيال أنديرا غاندي، رئيس وزراء الهند، في 31 أكتوبر من عام 1984، على يد اثنين من حراسها السيخ رداً على تصرفاتها التي تأذن بالعملية العسكرية.
• He began a hunger strike in 1961 at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, promising to continue it to his death unless the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru agreed to his demand for such a state.
  بدأ إضرابا عن الطعام في عام ١٩٦١ في المعبد الذهبي في أمريتسار ، ووعد بمواصلة ذلك حتى وفاته ما لم يوافق رئيس وزراء الهند في ذلك الوقت جواهر لال نهرو على مطالبته بمثل هذه الدولة.
• Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan described the floods as "something that has never happened before in the history of Kerala" and placed some of the blame on neighbouring Tamil Nadu for releasing excess water from the State-operated Mullaperiyar dam, which worsened the situation.
  عرض ناريندرا مودي رئيس وزراء الهند تقديم الدعم الاتحادي لولاية كيرلا، ووصف رئيس وزراء ولاية كيرلا بينارآيي فيجين الفيضانات بأنها «شيء لم يحدث من قبل في تاريخ كيرلا» ولام بعض الشيء ولاية تاميل نادو المجاورة لعدم اطلاقهم المياه الزائدة من السد والتي فاقمت الوضع.
• Responding to the heightened awareness of rape in India after the 2012 Delhi gang rape and the 2014 Badaun gang rape allegations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi advised parents, during his Independence Day speech in August, not only to ask where their daughters are going, but to check on their sons, because "a rapist is also somebody's son".
  استجابةً إلي ازدياد الوعي بقضايا الاغتصاب في الهند عقب قضية الاغتصاب الجماعي في دلهي 2012 و قضية الاغتصاب الجماعي في بادوم عام 2014 ، نصح رئيس وزراء الهند ناريندرا مودي الأباء، خلال كلمته في يوم الاستقلال الهندي باغسطس، " لا تقتصروا سؤال إلي اين تذهب علي بناتكم فقط، لكن تحققوا إلي اين يتجه بنيكم أيضًا، حيث أن المُغتصب هو بالتأكيد ابن أحدهم".
