ساكسونيا أنهالت

• They are found especially in Scandinavia, in the German states of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony (Salongrab), Saxony-Anhalt (Drebenstedt, Leetze, Winterfeld) and occasionally in Holstein (Alter Hau).

• The reform involved a reduction in the number of rural districts in Sachsen-Anhalt from 21 to 11 and reflected an expected continuation of the significant population decline being experienced.

• Subsequently, Saxony-Anhalt was dissolved in 1952, but re-established prior to the German reunification in 1990, since when it has been one of the sixteen (Bundes)länder (states) of Germany.

• The original Duchy of Saxony comprised lands of the Saxon people in the north-western part of present-day Germany, namely, the contemporary German state of Lower Saxony as well as Westphalia and Western Saxony-Anhalt, not corresponding to the modern German state of Saxony.
  تضم دوقية ساكسونيا الأصلية أراضي شعب الساكسون في الجزء الشمالي الغربي من ألمانيا وقتنا الحاضر، وهي ولاية ساكسونيا السفلى الألمانية الحالية، إضافة إلى وستفاليا وولاية ساكسونيا أنهالت الغربية، ولا تتطابق مع ولاية ساكسونيا الألمانية الحديثة.
• It was particularly to distinguish the lands from 'Lower Saxony', a concept which arose later in popular usage (though never enforced) as a term for the original Saxon lands in north and west Germany (where Low German dialects had spread), in what is now the state of Lower Saxony, as well as the adjacent Westphalian region, Holstein and the western part of today's Saxony-Anhalt north of the Harz range (Eastphalia).

• The Saxons were one of the most robust groups in the late tribal culture of the times, and eventually bequeathed their tribe's name to a variety of more and more modern geopolitical territories from Old Saxony (Altsachsen) near the mouth of the Elbe up the river via the Prussian Province of Saxony (in present-day Saxony-Anhalt) to Upper Saxony, the Electorate and Kingdom of Saxony from 1806 corresponding with the German Free State of Saxony, which bears the name today though it was not part of the medieval duchy (see map on the right).
  كان السكسون أحد أكثر المجموعات قوة في الثقافة القبلية المتأخرة، وتركت في نهاية المطاف اسم قبيلتهم لمجموعة متنوعة من المزيد والمزيد من الأراضي الجيوسياسية الحديثة من ساكسونيا القديمة بالقرب من مصب إلبه بطول النهر عبر مقاطعة ساكسونيا البروسية (في الوقت الحاضر ساكسونيا أنهالت) إلى ساكسونيا العليا، وانتخابية ساكسونيا ومملكة ساكسونيا من سنة 1806 مطابقة لولاية ساكسونيا الألمانية الحرة، والتي تحمل الاسم اليوم رغم أنها لم تكن جزءاً من الدوقية القروسطية.
