• The role of the System Operator in a wholesale electricity market is to manage the security of the power system in real time and co-ordinate the supply of and demand for electricity, in a manner that avoids fluctuations in frequency or interruptions of supply.

• Silvan Shalom announced that the agreement is "historic" and insisted that it demonstrated the powerful relations between the three countries adding that the electric conduit will become a cable and is going to export electricity to the European energy market.
  واعلن الوزير الإسرائيلي الطاقة والموارد المائية "سيليفان شالوم" أن الاتفاق "تاريخي" وانه يعبر عن علاقات قوية بين الثلاثة بلاد ، وأضاف أن محطة الكهرباء سوف توصل بكابل ينقل الطاقة الكهربائية إلى سوق الكهرباء الأوروبية.
• The SuperSmart Grid would employ high voltage direct current (HVDC) cables in its first-generation implementation to integrate the European electricity market and possibly connect it to neighboring regions, such as North Africa, and their vast renewable energy resources, such as those that could be unlocked by the DESERTEC & Medgrid project.
  وسوف تستخدم كابلات تيار الجهد العالي المستمر في تنفيذها الأول للتوليد لدمج سوق الكهرباء الأوروبي وربما توصيله إلى المناطق المجاورة، مثل شمال أفريقيا , ومصادر الطاقة المتجددة البعيدة مثل تلك التى يمتلكها مشروع ديزرتيك ومشروع الشبكة الضخمة .
• Snowy Hydro Limited, previously known as the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority, manages the Snowy Mountains Scheme which generates on average around 4500 gigawatt hours of renewable energy each year, which represented around 37% of all renewable energy in the National Electricity Market in 2010.
  تدير شركة سنووي هيدرو المعروفة سابقا باسم هيئة جبال الثلج المائية خطة الجبال الثلجية التي تنتج في المتوسط حوالي 4500 جيجاواط ساعة من الطاقة المتجددة كل عام والتي تمثل حوالي 74٪ من جميع الطاقة المتجددة في سوق الكهرباء الوطنية في عام 2005 كما يحول المخطط المياه للري من حوض نهر سنووي غربا إلى نظامي نهر موراي ونهر مورومبيدجي.
• The study notes, "if the UK wants to enjoy the economic benefits of remaining part of what is an increasingly integrated European electricity market then, as European legislation is currently drafted, it will not only have to forgo an element of autonomy through accepting legislation and regulations made collectively at the EU level, but it will also lose much of its voice in that decision making process, effectively becoming a rule-taker rather than a rule-maker."
