  كما أصدرت مجلة "المسيحية اليوم" مقالًا مؤيدًا للسلسلة في يناير 2000 أطلقت فيه على السلسلة اسم "كتاب الفضائل"، وأجزمت بأنه مع أن "السحر الحديث ديانة خاطئة ومغرية ومورطة، ويجب علينا أن نحمي أطفالنا منها، لا يتمثل هذا في كتب بوتر ذات الأمثلة الرائعة على العطف والولاء والشجاعة والصداقة التي قد تصل إلى درجة التضحية بالذات.
