Two weeks later, the AFP announced the arrest of Abu Saad, one of the three remaining Abu Sayyaf members who had evaded capture. بعد أسبوعين أعلنت القوات المسلحة الفلبينية عن اعتقال أبو سعد، وهو أحد أعضاء جماعة أبو سياف الثلاثة المتبقين الذين هربوا من القبض عليهم.
