Bougainville Island is ecologically and geographically part of the Solomon Islands archipelago but is not politically part of the nation of Solomon Islands. جزيرة بوغانفيل هي جزء من أرخبيل جزر سليمان من الناحية الإيكولوجية والجغرافية، ولكنها ليست جزءا سياسيا من دولة جزر سليمان.
