After their settlement in Dammam, Al Dawasir were heavily taxed by Ibn Saud and sought to return to Bahrain. بعد استقرارهم في الدمام خضع الدواسر للضريبة بشكل كبير من قبل عبد العزيز آل سعود وسعوا إلى العودة إلى البحرين.
This was the case of Al Bin Ali in 1895 and Al Dawasir in 1923 both of which emigrated from the island. كان هذا هو الحال من آل بن علي في عام 1895 والدواسر في عام 1923 وكلاهما هاجروا من الجزيرة.

Mai Al Khalifa disputed this statement and wrote that there was no evidence of Al Dawasir involvement in the incident nor was there a trial. كتب مي آل خليفة أنه لا يوجد أي دليل على تورط الدواسر في الحادث ولم تكن هناك محاكمة.
When Al Dawasir migrated to Bahrain from central Arabia in 1845, they expelled the Baharnah living in the north west side of the island. عندما هاجر الدواسر إلى البحرين من وسط الجزيرة العربية في عام 1845 فإنهم طردوا البحارنة من العيش في الجانب الغربي الشمالي من الجزيرة.
Al Dawasir migrated to Dammam in the mainland, while Al Khawalid were either banished for long years or sentenced to death in absentia after their escape. هاجر الدواسر إلى الدمام في البر الرئيسي في حين تم نفي لسنوات طويلة أو الحكم غيابيا بالإعدام على الخوالد بعد هروبهم.
In 1927, about one year after Daly had left Bahrain, Shaikh Hamad said he was "disgrace" by the confiscation of Al Dawasir properties, which was done under his name. قال حمد في عام 1927 أي بعد حوالي سنة واحدة من رحيل دالي أنه كان يشعر بالخزي من مصادرة ممتلكات الدواسر التي حدثت باسمه.
Soon after, about two thirds of Al Dawasir left for Dammam and the rest remained, only to follow them shortly after the ruler had given them a deadline to either return or leave altogether. بعد فترة وجيزة هاجر ثلثي الدواسر إلى الدمام أما الباقي فقد أعطاهم الحاكم مهلة لاتخاذ قرار إما بالانصياع له أو الهجرة إلى الدمام.
Knox then gave a speech in which he affirmed the British support for administrative reforms, announced transforming custom revenues to Shaikh Hamad and told Al Dawasir that they may migrate to Saudi Arabia as they have frequently threatened, but that they should not "be surprised if lands and houses are confiscated". ثم ألقى نوكس كلمة أكد فيها على الدعم البريطاني للإصلاحات الإدارية وأعلن تحويل عائدات الجمارك لحمد وطلب من الدواسر الهجرة إلى المملكة العربية السعودية بسبب تلقيهم في كثير من الأحيان تهديدات ويجب أن لا يتفاجئوا إذا تمت مصادرة أراضيهم ومنازلهم.
