According to Kamandar Bakhtiar, former member of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Khorasan Province, stated that ISIL militants in Afghanistan regularly rape gay men as punishment, differing in punishment for homosexuals from ISIL militants in Iraq and Syria. ولاية خراسان– فإنّ مسلحي داعش في أفغانستان قد أقدموا بانتظام على اغتصاب مثليي الجنس من الرجال كنوع من العقاب كما أكّد على أن هناكَ اختلاف في معاقبة المثليين بين مسلحي داعش في العراق وسوريا وفي مناطق أخرى.
