The territory of the Yuan was administered in 12 districts during the reign of Kublai Khan with a governor and vice-governor each. كانت أقاليم يوان تدار في اثنتي عشرة منطقة في عهد قوبلاي خان بـ«محافظ ونائب محافظ» لكل منها.
During the period of Yuan Dynasty, ruler Kublai Khan enforced a Four Class System, which was a legal caste system. خلال فترة حكم أسرة يوان ، فرض الحاكم قوبلاي خان نظامًا من طبقات أرابعة ، والذي كان نظامًا قانونيا للطوائف.
In 1271, Kublai Khan dispatched envoys to obtain persons skilled in the management of mangonels from his kinsman Abaqa, the Ilkhan in Persia. في عام 1271، أرسل قوبلاي خان مبعوثين للحصول على الأشخاص المهرة في إدارة المنجنيق من رجله أباقا خان، الخان في بلاد فارس.
Its name comes from an alternate transcription of Shangdu, the summer capital of the Yuan dynasty established by Kublai Khan and made famous by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. جاء اسمها من نسخة بديلة من شانجدو، العاصمة الصيفية لسلالة يوان التي أنشأها قوبلاي خان، وأصبحت مشهورة بواسطة صامويل تايلر كولريدج.
After Singhasari drove Srivijaya out of Java in 1290, the rising power of Singhasari came to the attention of Kublai Khan in China and he sent emissaries demanding tribute. بعدما قادت سينغاساري سريفيجايا خارج جاوة في 1290، وصلت القوّة المتصاعدة لسينغاساري إلى انتباه قوبلاي خان في الصين فأرسل المبعوثين الذين طلبوا التقدير.

Kublai brought siege engineers, Ismail and Al al-Din, together they invented the "Muslim trebuchet" (Hui-Hui Pao), which was utilized by Kublai Khan during the Battle of Xiangyang. جلب قوبلاي خان مهندسَينِ اثنينِ هما إسماعيل وعلاء الدين، الذين اخترعا جنبا إلى جنب «منجنيق المسلمين» (هوي هوي باو) الذي استخدمه قوبلاي خان خلال معركة شيانغيانغ.
To the East they did battle with China's Song Dynasty where eventually Genghis Khan's grandson, the Mongol Emperor Kublai Khan became the supreme ruler of China, founding the Yuan Dynasty in 1279. إلى الشرق تقاتلوا مع اسرة (سونغ) الصينيّه بِالنهايه حفيدهُ، الامبراطور المغولي (قوبلاي خان) أصبح الحاكم الأعلى في الصين، مؤسس أسرة (يوان) في 1279ـ
During the reign of Kublai Khan in the Yuan dynasty, the Qionghua island was redesigned by various architects and officials such as Liu Bingzhong, Guo Shoujing and Amir al-Din. في عهد قوبلاي خان في عهد مملكة يوان، أعيد تصميم جزيرة كيونغاو من قبل العديد من المهندسين المعماريين والمسؤولين مثل ليو بنغونغ وغو شوجينغ والمعماري أمير الدين.
