• According to the Pāli Canon, Sāriputta died peacefully on the full moon day of Kartika a few months before the Buddha, having achieved Parinibbana, and when Sāriputta's assistant, Cunda, gave the news to Ananda, Ananda was very distressed.
  وفقًا لبالي كانون، توفي ساريبوتا بسلامٍ في يوم اكتمال القمر في شهر كارتيكا من التقويم الهندي القديم، أشهر قليلة قبل بودا، كان محققًا بارينيبانا، وعندما أعطى مساعد ساريبوتا -كوندا- الأخبار إلى أناندا، كان أناندا يشعر بالأسى الشديد.

• Falling violently ill, Buddha instructed his attendant Ānanda to convince Cunda that the meal eaten at his place had nothing to do with his passing and that his meal would be a source of the greatest merit as it provided the last meal for a Buddha.
  هبوط اعتلال مريض بعنف، تعليمات بوذا المصاحبة له أناندا لإقناع كوندا أن الوجبة تؤكل في مكانه وليس لها علاقة مع وفاته وأن له وجبة ستكون مصدرا من أعظم الجدارة حيث وفرت وجبة الماضي لبوذا.
• He is primarily known as the spiritual teacher behind Ananda Marga, but Sarkar wrote over 1500 pages on his socio-politico-economic Progressive Utilization Theory (PROUT), with several thousand more pages dedicated to linguistics and the study of languages; Sarkar's writings on linguistics included, among other works, Shabda Cayanika ("A Collection of Words"), an unfinished, twenty-six volume dictated encyclopaedia on the Bengali language.
