بطنيّ

  العضلة المستعرضة البطنيّة أعمق عضلات البطن، و لذا فلا يمكن أن تُلمس من الخارج.

  تُغلّف المستقيمة البطنيّة بغمد ثخين، وُصف في الأعلى، بواسطة ألياف من كلٍ من العضلات الثلاث السابقة التي تشكّل جدار البطن الوحشيّ.

  تُكتسب القوّة من خلال تقاطع الألياف حيث تتجه المنحرفة الظاهرة إلى الأمام و الأسفل، و المنحرفة الداخليّة إلى الأمام و الأعلى أما المستعرضة البطنيّة فتتجه أفقيّاً إلى الأمام.
