طرد اليهود

• All together 150,000 Iraqi and Kurdish Jews were encouraged to leave in 1950 by the Iraqi Government, which had eventually ordered in 1951 "the expulsion of Jews who refused to sign a statement of anti-Zionism."
  ودفعت الحكومة العراقية 150000 من اليهود العراقيين والأكراد معًا لمغادرة البلاد عام 1950، إلا أن أصدرت أخيرًا أمرًا عام 1950 والذي يتضمن "طرد اليهود الذين رفضوا التوقيع على بيان معاداة الصهيونية من البلاد.
• The conquest was followed by the Alhambra Decree (1492) which expelled Jews who would not convert to Christianity from Castile and Aragon, and a series of edicts (1499–1526) which forced the conversions of the Muslims in Spain, although later a significant part of them was expelled from the Iberian Peninsula.

• At the same time, the interest for ancient Arabic scientific and medical writings was still very prominent, in spite of the fact that a large part of the Muslim community who had refused to convert to Christianity, had been expelled from Spain along with similarly unconverted Jews during the year of 1492.
