غازات العادم

• These exhausts converted some of the waste energy of the (internal combustion) engines exhaust-flow into a small amount of forward thrust by accelerating the hot gasses in a rearward direction to a speed greater than that of the aircraft.
  حولت هذه القاذفات بعضاً من الطاقة الضائعة في غازات العادم (طاقة الاحتراق الداخلي) إلى كمية صغيرة من الدفع، وذلك بتسريع الغازات الساخنة إلى الخلف بسرعة أكبر من سرعة الطائرة.
• They must use the transfer port(s) as a carefully designed and placed nozzle so that a gas current is created in a way that it sweeps the whole cylinder before reaching the exhaust port so as to expel the combustion gases, but minimize the amount of charge exhausted.
  يجب استخدام منفذ الانتقال كفوهة مصممة وموضوعة في مكانها بدقة من أجل خلق تيار غازي يعمل على تنظيف الأسطوانة بأكملها قبل غلق صمام العادم، ليتم طرد غازات العادم وتقليل كمية الشحنة الجديدة التي تخرج مع العادم.
• It consists of a compressor to draw air in and compress it, a combustion section where fuel is added and ignited, one or more turbines that extract power from the expanding exhaust gases to drive the compressor, and an exhaust nozzle that accelerates the exhaust gases out the back of the engine to create thrust.
  ويشتمل على ضاغط يجذب الهواء إلى الداخل ويضغطه، وجزء الاحتراق الذي يمد بالوقود ويحرقه، وواحدة أو أكثر من العنفيات التي تستخلص الطاقة من غازات العادم المتضخمة فيدور الضاغط، وفوهة عادم تسرّع من خروج الانبعاثات من الجزء الخلفي من المحرك فتنتج قوة دفع.
