• While the process may have similarities to a controversial form of friendraising, the emphasis in community engagement is that of honest relationship building for the sake of community, not for the sole purpose of money-making.
  ورغم أنه قد يكون لتلك العملية أوجه تشابه مع النموذج المثير للجدل لـ جمع التبرعات بالتصادق, فإن تركيز المشاركة المجتمعية هو إقامة علاقات نزيهة من أجل المجتمع، ليس بهدف جمع المال فقط.
• While community organizing involves the process of building a grassroots movement involving communities, community engagement primarily deals with the practice of moving communities toward change, usually from a stalled or similarly suspended position.
  وفي حين أن تنظيم المجتمع ينطوي على عملية إقائمة حركة أساسية تضم المجتمعات، تتناول المشاركة المجتمعية أساسًا ممارسة تحريك المجتمعات المستهدفة نحو التغيير، ويكون التغيير دائمًا من وضع التوقف أو ما يشابهه من وضع معلق.
• The National Constituent Assembly developed an anti-corruption initiative in December 2012 which aims to establish a national integrity system, to promote the independent National Anti-Corruption Authority, and to boost civil society participation in corruption prevention.

• Designers can plan an activity that is designed to achieve a particular purpose however, some activities emerge through interaction and participation of the community; these are unplanned and may be contrary to what the designers intended.

  ومن بين الجوانب ذات الصلة بالبرنامج هو النهج الشمولي؛ و انفتاحه على مشاركة المجتمع المدني في التخطيط وتخصيص الموارد و صياغة السياسات وكذلك رصدها؛ والتركيز على المساواة بين الجنسين الذي يبدو جليا في التحويلات النقدية للنساء ضمن الأسر، كوسيلة للتمكين وضمان استخدام أكثر فعالية للموارد.
