• On 11 March 2008, Boeing filed a protest with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) for the award of the contract to Northrop Grumman; Following the protest filing, Northrop Grumman and Boeing engaged in media campaigns in support of their tanker aircraft.

• On 18 June 2008, the Government Accountability Office upheld the protest by Boeing on the decision to award the contract to Northrop Grumman, indicating that the USAF had not properly evaluated the Boeing and Northrop Grumman bids.

• The US General Accounting Office stated that "the National Energy Policy report was the product of a centralized, top-down, short- term, and labor-intensive process that involved the efforts of several hundred federal employees governmentwide".
  أفاد مكتب المحاسبة العام الأمريكي أن "تقرير سياسة الطاقة الوطنية كان نتاج عملية مركزة، ومن القمة إلى القاع، وقصيرة المدة، وتكلفت عملًا كثيرًا شارك فيه عدة مئات من الموظفين الفيدراليين في كامل النطاق الحكومي".
• The GAO reported that EPA had not been collecting copper and lead levels from the states, despite claims that the levels of copper and lead have decreased; data for 72 percent of water systems were missing.
  حيث أورد مكتب المحاسبة الحكومي في تقريره أن وكالة حماية البيئة لم تكن تجمع بيانات معدلات وجود الرصاص والنحاس من الولايات على الرغم من المزاعم أن مستويات الرصاص والنحاس قد تناقصت؛ حيث كانت البيانات الواردة من 72 نظامٍ للمياه غائبةً أو مفقودةً.
• The U.S. General Accounting Office concluded in 2003 that the program was sometimes counterproductive in some populations, with those who graduated from D.A.R.E. later having higher than average rates of drug use (a boomerang effect).
  و خلص مكتب المحاسبة العامة في الولايات المتحدة في عام 2003 إلى ان البرنامج كان في بعض الاحيان يأتى بنتائج عكسية في بعض الفئات السكانية, في وقت كان فيه أولئك من تخرجوا من منظمة ت.م.ت.م يحصلون في وقت لاحق على معدلات استخدام للمخدرات أعلى من المتوسط (و هو أثر يرتد على البيئة).
