The main opposition bloc Al Wefaq organised the larger march, under the slogan "Stop the shedding of our blood, we will not give up our demands". نظمت جمعية الوفاق المسيرة الكبيرة تحت شعار "أوقفوا سفك دمائنا فإننا لن نتخلى عن مطالبنا".
At the same time, an anti-government demonstration attended by thousands and organised by the main Al Wefaq opposition bloc west of Manama passed off peacefully. في الوقت نفسه مرت مظاهرة مناهضة للحكومة شارك فيها الآلاف والتي نظمتها جمعية الوفاق غرب المنامة بسلام.
BCHR said 10 were injured by tear gas (inhalation) and birdshot, while Al Wefaq said 2 people were in a critical condition. قال المركز أنه تم جرح 10 بسبب استنشاق الغاز المسيل للدموع في حين قالت جمعية الوفاق شخصين اثنين في حالة حرجة.
"We believe that Al Wefaq serves the interests of Bahrain's Shi'ite population while others like Al Asala Islamic Society serve the interests of Sunnis. "نحن نعتقد أن الوفاق تخدم مصالح السكان الشيعة في البحرين في حين أن آخرين مثل جمعية الأصالة الإسلامية تخدم مصالح السنة.
