Rather than organizing these new operations in a highly centralized structure, Bata established a confederation of autonomous units that could be more responsive to new markets in developing countries. وبدلا من تنظيم أعمالها في هيكلية مركزية وضعت باتا أساس كنفدرالية من الشركات المستقلة التي يمكنها أن تتجاوب مع أسواق دول العالم النامي بقدر أفضل.
He was sent to Canada by his uncle Jan, to become the Vice President of the Bata Import and Export Company of Canada, which was founded in a company town named Batawa, opened in 1939. وقد أرسله عمه جان إلى كندا لكي يصبح نائب رئيس شركة باتا للاستيراد والتصدير المنشأة عام 1939 في مدينة الشركة باتاوا.
While most competitors were forced to close because of the crisis in demand between 1923 and 1925, Bata was expanding as demand for the inexpensive shoes grew rapidly. كان رد فعل المستهلك على ترخيص الأسعار رائعًا، ففي حين أن أُجبر معظم المنافسين على الإفلاس بسبب تدني الطلب بين عامي 1923 و 1925 تعاظم إنتاج باتا مع تنامي الطلب على الأحذية الرخيصة.
Bata states that he is going to the Valley of Cedars, where he will place his heart on the top of the blossom of a cedar tree, so that if it is cut down Anpu will be able to find it and allow Bata to become alive again. قرر باتا أن يذهب إلى وادي الأرز، حيث سيضع قلبه على رأس شجرة الأرز، بحيث إذا قُطعت يستطيع أنوبيس العثور عليه، ليعود باتا إلى الحياة مرة أخرى.
