إنكيدو

• When Enkidu is dying he expresses his anger at Shamhat for making him civilized, blaming her for bringing him to the new world of experiences that has led to his death.

• First, Gilgamesh is seen setting up a bizarre trap to lure and catch the wild man Enkidu (who is depicted as a bird-like creature, partially made of genuine animal skeletons).

• Also in the Epic of Gilgamesh, Ninsun is summoned by Gilgamesh and Enkidu to help pray to the god Utu to help the two on their journey to the Country of the Living to battle Humbaba.
  كما في ملحمة جلجامش, تستدعي نينسون من قبل جلجامش وإنكيدو للمساعدة بالدعاء إلى الإله أوتو لمساعدة الأثنين في رحلتهم إلى بلد المعيشة لمحاربة خومبابا.
• Perhaps the most significant legend to survive from Mesopotamian religion is the Epic of Gilgamesh, which tells the story of the heroic king Gilgamesh and his wild friend Enkidu, and the former's search for immortality which is entwined with all the gods and their approval.
  ولعل الأسطورة الأكثر أهمية التي بقت من ديانة بلاد ما بين النهرين هي ملحمة جلجامش، والتي تحكي قصة الملك البطل جلجامش وصديقه الهمجي إنكيدو، ورحلته السابقه للبحث عن الخلود وهو أمر مرتبط بموافقة جميع الآلهة.
