Born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Egypt, and educated in Western schools, El-Katatney has an undergraduate business degree from the American University in Cairo where she was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper. ولدت إيثار في المملكة العربية السعودية، و كبرت في مصر ، وتلقت تعليمها في مدارس غربية و بالأخص مدارس إنجليزية ، حازت على درجة البكالوريوس في إدارة الأعمال من الجامعة الأميركية في القاهرة و عملت كالمحرر العام لصحيفة الطالب أثناء دراستها.
Born to a musical family in the Southern Lebanese Tyrian village of Kniseh, Abboud is a former ISF officer and studied English literature at Lebanese University, translation at Beirut Arab University and musical expression at the American University of Science and Technology. ولدت في عائلة محبة للموسيقى في بلدة الكنيسة الجنوبية الصورية، وهي ضابطة السابقة في قوى الأمن الداخلي اللبنانية ودرست الأدب الإنجليزي في الجامعة اللبنانية، والترجمة في جامعة بيروت العربية، والتعبير الموسيقي في الجامعة الأميركية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا.
After receiving his Medical Doctorate from the American University of Beirut in 1941, he opened up a hospital in his hometown of El-Mina in 1946 in partnership with Dr. Joseph Yamine and Dr. Richard Jebara, for a short period before moving to Saudi Arabia in 1949. بعد حصوله على درجة دكتور في الطب من الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت عام 1941 افتتح مستشفى في منطقته وبالاشتراك مع الدكتور جوزيف يامين والدكتور ريتشارد جبارة لمدة بسيطة قبل سفرة إلى السعودية عام 1949.
Ghandour grew up in Beirut, Lebanon where he spent most of his youth, he was admitted to IC, a private co-educational preparatory school to the American University of Beirut which he graduated from later with Aerospace engineering degree. he also went for further education at New York University - United States. نشأ غندور في بيروت، لبنان حيث قضى معظم شبابه، وقد تم قبوله في إيك، وهي مدرسة إعدادية مشتركة للتعليم الخاص تؤهل إلى الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت التي تخرج منها في وقت لاحق مع درجة هندسة الفضاء.
Fresh from completing his Master's degree at the University of California, Berkeley and his PhD Studies at Columbia University, Dr. Jaroudi began his professional experience teaching Economics at the American University of Beirut, where he also participated in the pioneering work of the Economic Research Institute on economic development and business legislation in the Middle East. وكان الدكتور جارودي قد بدأ مسيرته المهنية عقب حصوله على درجة الماجستير من جامعة كاليفورنيا، بركلي ودرجة الدكتوراه من جامعة كولومبيا في نيويورك، فالتحق بسلك التدريس في الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت حيث درّس الاقتصاد، كما شارك في العمل الرائد الذي قام به معهد البحوث الاقتصادية بشأن التنمية الاقتصادية والتشريعات التجارية في الشرق الأوسط.
After graduating with a degree in civil engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1986, he left for the UK where he acquired Master's and PhD degrees in computational mechanics and mathematical modelling from the University of Southampton, and later, a Master's by research degree in environmental science from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris. بعد تخرجه بدرجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية من الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت عام 1986، غادر إلى المملكة المتحدة حيث حصل على درجة الماجستير والدكتوراه في الميكانيكا الحسابية والنمذجة الرياضية من جامعة ساوثهامبتون، وبعد ذلك حصل على درجة الماجستير في البحث العلمي والعلوم البيئية من المدرسة الوطنية بونتس إت تشوسيس في باريس.
On the other hand, contributed to Arab Christians in fighting the policy of Turkification pursued by the Assembly of the Union and Progress and has emerged in Aleppo, in particular, Bishop Germanos Farhat and Father Boutros Tallawy, and the school was founded the Patriarchate in the prolific that came out a multitude of flags of the Arab at that point, Christian college as Saint Joseph University and the American University of Beirut and Al-Hikma University in Baghdad and other played leading role in the development of civilization and Arab culture. من جهة أخرى، ساهم المسيحيون العرب في مقارعة سياسة التتريك التي انتهجتها جمعية الاتحاد والترقي وبرز في حلب على وجه الخصوص المطران جرمانوس فرحات والخوري بطرس التلاوي، وتأسست المدرسة البطريركية في غزير التي خرجت عددًا وافرًا من أعلام العربية في تلك المرحلة، ولعبت الجامعات المسيحية كجامعة القديس يوسف والجامعة الأميركية في بيروت وجامعة الحكمة في بغداد وغيرها دورًا رياديًا في تطوير الحضارة والثقافة العربية.
