حرب طروادة

• It is represented in mythology and history by the tribe of Benjamin in the Bible; by the Greek hero Paris stealing the beautiful Helen of Troy from her husband Menelaus, thus triggering the Trojan War; and by the Rape of the Sabine Women by Romulus, the founder of Rome.
  وهي ممثلة في الأساطير والتاريخ من قبل قبيلة بنيامين في الكتاب المقدس؛ حيث قام البطل اليوناني باريس بسرقة الجميلة هيلين من طروادة من زوجها مينيلوس، مما أثار حرب طروادة؛ وبسبب اغتصاب سابين المرأة من قبل رومولوس، مؤسس روما.
• Plutarch in his biography of the Athenian king Theseus (the slayer of the Minotaur) says that, after being widowed and reaching age 50, the king abducted the beautiful 12-year-old Helen (long before she married Menelaus, met Paris and was the cause of the Trojan War).
  يقول بلوتارخس متحدثاً عن الملك الأثيني ثيسيوس ثيسيوس (قاتل مينوتور) أنه بعد أن ترمل الملك وصار في الخمسين من عمره قام بإبعاد الفتاة الجميلة هيلين ذات الإثني عشر عاماً (والتي فيما بعد هربت مع معشوقها باريس, وكانا سبباً في اندلاع حرب طروادة).
