• On 26 February 2009, the Norwegian government decided to deploy HNoMS Fridtjof Nansen to the Gulf of Aden, thereby participating in the ongoing Operation Atalanta, the European Union's counter-piracy campaign in Somalia.
  في 26 فبراير 2009، قررت الحكومة النرويجية نشر فريدتجوف نانسن في خليج عدن، وبذلك شاركت في عملية أتالانتا، وهي حملة الاتحاد الأوروبي لمكافحة القرصنة في الصومال.
• Sweden is also part of the multinational Kosovo Force and has a naval force deployed to the gulf of Aden as a part of Operation Atalanta.
  حاليا، وقد نشرت السويد القوات العسكرية في أفغانستان مع قوة المساعدة الأمنية الدولية في كوسوفو وكجزء من قوة متعددة الجنسيات في كوسوفو وكذلك نشر قوة بحرية إلى خليج عدن كجزء من عملية اتالانتا.
• Seas include the Gulf of Aden, Andaman Sea, Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, Great Australian Bight, Laccadive Sea, Gulf of Mannar, Mozambique Channel, Gulf of Oman, Persian Gulf, Red Sea and other tributary water bodies.
  والبحار تشمل خليج عدن، بحر اندامان ،بحر العرب،خليج البنغال، الخليج الأستراليا الكبير، بحر لاكاديف، خليج منار، قناة موزمبيق، خليج عمان ،الخليج العربي ،البحر الأحمر، وغيرها من الروافد.
• Zinjibar lies on the Gulf of Aden, about 54 km from Yemen's second city Aden, east of the "strategic" strait of Bab al-Mandab (about three million barrels of oil pass through the strait daily).
  تقع زنجبار على خليج عدن على بعد حوالي 54 كيلومترا من عدن الثانية في اليمن شرق المضيق "الاستراتيجي" لباب المندب (حوالي ثلاثة ملايين برميل من النفط يمر عبر المضيق يوميا).
• The CTF-150 established the Maritime Security Patrol Area on 22 August 2008, through a narrow corridor within the Gulf of Aden aimed at deterring attack and hijacking of ships seeking safe passage through the zone.
  وأسست فرقة العمل المشتركة 150 منطقة دورية أمنية بحرية في 22 أغسطس 2008، عبر ممر ضيق في خليج عدن بهدف ردع الهجمات وحوادث خطف السفن للحصول على ممر آمن في المنطقة.
• Salinity ranges from between ~36 ‰ in the southern part because of the effect of the Gulf of Aden water and 41 ‰ in the northern part, owing mainly to the Gulf of Suez water and the high evaporation.
  تتراوح الملوحة ما بين ~ 36 ‰ في الجزء الجنوبي نظراً لتأثير مياه خليج عدن وتصل إلى 41 ‰ في الجزء الشمالي، ويرجع ذلك أساساً إلى مياه خليج السويس والتبخر العالي.

  الإيطاليون، من جانبهم، كانوا مهتمين كثيرا في هذا البلد القاحل إلى حد كبير ويرجع ذلك أساسا إلى موانئها، ويمكن لهذه الأخيرة ان تمنحهم الوصول السهل إلى قناة السويس ذات الأهمية الاستراتيجية وأيضا إلى خليج عدن.

• It is an international naval partnership that provides security for civilian maritime traffic by conducting counter-piracy and counter-terrorism missions in the heavily trafficked waters of the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, including the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea and the wider Indian Ocean.
  وهي شراكة بحرية دولية توفر الأم للمرور البحري المدني عن طريق القيام بمهام مكافحة-القرصنة ومكافحة الارهاب المنتشرة في مياه الشرق الأوسط، أفريقيا وجنوب آسيا، وتشمل البحر الأحمر، الخليج العربي، خليج عدن، بحر العرب والمحيط الهندي.
• The opening of the Great Rift Valley split the dome of the Ethiopian Highlands into three parts; the mountains of the southern Arabian Peninsula are geologically part of the ancient Ethiopian Highlands, separated by the rifting which created the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden and separated Africa from Arabia.
  شقت فتحة الأخدود الإفريقي العظيم قبة المرتفعات الإثيوبية إلى ثلاثة أجزاء، جبال شبه الجزيرة العربية الجنوبية وهي جزء جيولوجي من المرتفعات الإثيوبية القديمة، يفصل بينها الشق الذي أدى إلى نشأة البحر الأحمر وخليج عدن ويفصل إفريقيا عن شبه جزيرة العرب.
