Genealogical connections like these are changeable, in keeping with the multiple perspectives in Egyptian belief; Hathor could act as mother to any child god, including the child form of the sun god, although in other circumstances she was the sun god's daughter. اتسمت أمثال هذه العلاقات الأسرية بالتغير، حيث تغيرت لتماشي وجهات النظر المتعددة في المعتقدات المصرية، فعلى سبيل المثال، كانت حتحور، بصفتها إلهة الخصوبة، أما لأي إله في مرحلة الطفولة، ومنهم إله الشمس في صورته الطفولية، مع أنها كانت في ظروف أخرى أختًا للإله نفسه.
