There have also been reports that citizens in North Korea were encouraged to sing a newly composed "song of praise" to Kim Jong-un, in a similar fashion to that of praise songs relating to Kim Jong-il and Kim Il-sung. كما أشارت تقارير بأنه تم تشجيع المواطنين بأن يغنوا "أغنية ثناء" أُلِّفَت حديثاً لكم جونغ أون، مشابهة جداً لأغنية الثناء التي يغنيها الشعب للأب.
During the 1980s and the early 1990s, the North Korean media gave Kim Jong-il credit for working ceaselessly to make the country a "kingdom of art" where a cultural renaissance unmatched in other countries was taking place. خلال الثمانينات واوائل التسعينات , اعلام كوريا الشمالية اعطي كيم جونج-ال ثقة للعمل بلا توقف لجعل البلد "مملكة من الفن" حيث نهضة الثقافة لا مثيل لها في بلدان اخري.

Following the admission of the abductions of Japanese people by North Korean Leader Kim Jong-il in 2002, however, the club severed links with Chongryon and adopted the name Football Club Korea, using the English pronunciation of the name of the peninsula (see Names of Korea). بعد قبول زعيم كوريا الشمالية كيم جونغ-إيل اختطاف مواطنين يابانيين في العام 2002، أنهى النادي علاقته مع منظمة تشونغريون واعتمد اسمًا جديدًا هو نادي كرة القدم كوريا، مستخدمًا نطق اسم شبه الجزيرة الكورية بالإنجليزية (انظر أسماء كوريا).
