أهل السنة

• In 1728, a Russian officer described a group of Arab nomads who populated the Caspian shores of Mughan (in present-day Azerbaijan) and spoke a mixed Turkic-Arabic language.
  أفاد أحد الضبّاط الروس في عام 1728، أن هناك بضعة أناس عرب من أهل السنة والجماعة يعيشون حياة الترحال في سهل مغان الواقع على سواحل بحر قزوين، في أذربيجان الحالية، وقال أنهم تحدثوا بلغة هي عبارة عن مزيج بين العربية واللغات التركية.
• The opinion that came to be the majority, or Sunni opinion held that Muhammad had not appointed a successor during his life but had said "After I am gone, choose one from among your peers, from among the elders."
  ولكن رأى أهل السنة والذى كان رأى الأغلبية بأن محمد لم يسمى أحدا لخلافته فى حياته وأنه ذكر بأن عليهم أن يختاروا بعد موته من بينهم من يستحق الخلافة من الصحابة
• According to many Muslim historians and scholars, including the likes of the Sunni Tabari and the Shia Morteza Motahhari, Fatimah asked Ali to bury her at night to ensure none of her enemies participated in her funeral.

• After the fire is burning, the builder(s) may sit by and watch it for the duration of the composition; however, he (they) should not sit between the fire and the audience in order that its members will be able to see and enjoy the fire.
  وموقف الخوارج من صاحب الكبيرة وخلوده في النار يوافق رأي المعتزلة، وإن افترقت عنهم المعتزلة في القول بأنه لا يعذب عذاب الكافرين والتوقف عن تسميته، ويخالفون رأي أهل السنة في جواز العفو عن مرتكب الكبيرة وعدم خلوده في النار.
• He praised the Movement saying it would revive the rights of the Sunnis "who have lapsed into an uncomfortable silence that has made them appear as the unquestionably obedient supporters of the government while suffering from neglect in housing and other services provided by the state."
  أشاد بالحركة قائلا بأنها لن إحياء حقوق أهل السنة "الذين سقطوا إلى صمت غير مريح والذي جعل منهم يبدون مثل الناصر المطيع بشكل لا يقبل من الحكومة في حين يعانون من الإهمال في مجال الإسكان وغيرها من الخدمات التي تقدمها الدولة".
• Until the late 19th century, the vast majority of Sunni and Shia jurists held that for adult men, apostasy from Islam was a crime as well as a sin, an act of treason punishable with the death penalty, typically after a waiting period to allow the apostate time to repent and to return to Islam.
  حتى أواخر القرن التاسع عشر، كانت الغالبية العظمى من فقهاء القانون من أهل السنة والجماعة والشيعة يعتقدون أنه بالنسبة للرجال البالغين، كانت الردة عن الإسلام جريمة وكذلك خطيئة، وهي فعل خيانة يُعاقب عليه بعقوبة الإعدام، وعادةً يتم بعد إنتظار فترة من الوقت للسماح للمرتد بالتوبة والعودة إلى الإسلام.
• Under the guidance of Muhammad Baqir Majlisi (1616–98, one of the most important Shiite clerics of all time), who devoted himself to (among other things) the eradication of Sunnism in Iran, the Safavid state made major efforts, in the 17th century to Persianize Shiite practice and culture in order to facilitate its spread in Iran among its Sunni populace.

  يروي المسلسل السيرة الكاملة لرابع أئمة المسلمين من أهل السنة والجماعة أحمد بن حنبل وما دار فيها من أحداث من بداية حياته الأسرية والاجتماعية وحتى بدأ حياته العلمية في طلب العلم الشرعي من الحديث النبوي والقرآن الكريم وحتى وفاته، ويستعرض المسلسل أيضاَ فترة حكم الدولة العباسية بما شهدته من أحداث وفتوحات إسلامية، وظهور المعتزلة وبروز محنة خلق القرآن، وتصدي الإمام أحمد بن حنبل لها.
