طحان

• The king calls for the girl, shuts her in a tower room filled with straw and a spinning wheel, and demands she spin the straw into gold by morning or he will cut off her head (other versions have the king threatening to lock her up in a dungeon forever).
  فنادى الملك ابنةالطحان وحبسها في غرفة معزولة في برج مع بعض القش ودولاب غزل، وأمرها بتحويل القش إلى ذهب، وإن لم تفعل سيقطع رأسها (وفي رواية أخرى تقول أنه هددها بالحبس الأبدي).
• The miller initially offers no resistance and allows Olivero to release the woman, whom he recognises by the colour of her skin to be Sally, one of the two green children who had mysteriously arrived in the village on the day he left, thirty years earlier; Olivero also recognises the miller as Kneeshaw, an ex-pupil at the village school where he had once taught.
  لم يُظهر الطحان أي مقاومة لأوليفرو وسمح له يإطلاق صراح هذه المرأة والتي عُرفت بلون بشرتها علي أنها تُدعي سالي وهي أحد الطفلين اللذان جاءا إلي القرية في ظروف غامضة في نفس اليوم الذي غادر فيه أولفيرو القرية منذ ثلاثين عامًا.وأيضًا عرف أوليفرو الطحان نيشو، فقد كان تلميذًا سابقًا في مدرسة القرية التي تعلم فيها أوليفرو.
