• The Austrian lands were in miserable economic and financial conditions, thus Ferdinand desperately introduced the so-called Turkish Tax (Türken Steuer), despite of that huge Austrian sacrifices, he was not able to collect enough money to pay the expenses of the defense costs of the Austrian lands.
  كانت الأراضي النمساوية في حالة اقتصادية ومادية سيئة، لذا أدخل فيردناند ما أسماه الضرائب التركية وعلى الرغم من التضحيات النمساوية الكبيرة، لم يتمكن من تجميع ما يكفي من الأموال لدفع نفقات الدفاع عن سواحل الأراضي النمساوية.
• During the Ottoman wars the territory of former Kingdom of Hungary shrunk by around 70%; despite these territorial and demographic losses, the smaller, heavily war-torn Royal Hungary remained economically more important than Austria or Kingdom of Bohemia at the end of the 16th century, as it was Ferdinand’s largest source of revenue.
  أثناء الحروب العثمانية تقلصت أراضي مملكة المجر بحوالي 70% وعلى الرغم من هذه الخسارة الديموغرافية، إلا أن مملكة المجر الصغيرة والمنهكة من الحرب كانت لا تزال أهم اقتصاديا من مملكة النمسا أو مملكة بوهيميا في نهاية القرن السادس عشر، لذا فقد كانت أكبر مصدر إيرادات لفيردناند.
