  اجرت قوات النمر غارة ليلية في الساعات الاولى من 16 يناير في قرية تل مرق، أم الخلاخيل، الزرزور، والخوين؛ وتبع ذلك اشتباكات عنيفة قريبا، وقال الجيش السورى ان جنود في الخوين تعرضوا لهجوم بغاز الكلور مما اضطرهم للحصول على الرعاية الطبية.
