• Al Bahrani wrote on Twelver doctrine, affirmed free will, the infallibility of prophets and imams, the appointed imamate of `Ali, and the occultation of the Twelfth Imam.
  كتب البحراني في المذهب الاثني عشري مؤكدا على الإرادة الحرة وعصمة الأنبياء والأئمة والإمامة المعينة لعلي وغيبة الإمام الثاني عشر.
• According to Serjeant, the indigenous Bahrani people are the Arabized "descendants of converts from the original population of Christians (Aramaeans), Jews and ancient Persians (Majus) inhabiting the island and cultivated coastal provinces of Eastern Arabia at the time of the Arab conquest".
  وفقا للباحث المستعرب سرجيانت، فإن الشعب البحراني هم "الأحفاد المعربون السكان للمسيحيين (الآراميين) واليهود والفرس القدامى (مجوس) الذين أسلموا والذين يسكنون الجزيرة ويزرعون المقاطعات الساحلية في شرق الجزيرة العربية في وقت الفتح الإسلامي" .
• Al-Karzakani, like other prominent Bahrain scholars such as Yusuf Al Bahrani, was a follower of the Akhbari tradition within Shia thought and was initially inclined to reject the appointment – the Akhbaris being traditional wary of state power, unlike most Persian clerics who followed the less conservative Usuli school.
  الكرزكاني مثل غيره من علماء البحرين البارزين مثل يوسف البحراني كان تابعا لتقليد الأخباريين داخل المذهب الشيعي الذين كانوا يميلون لرفض تعيينه لأن الأخباريين حذرين تقليديين لسلطة الدولة على عكس معظم رجال الدين الفرس الذين يتبعون المدرسة الأصولية المحافظة.
