• Hypergamy – act or practice of seeking a spouse of higher socioeconomic status, or caste status than oneself; in contrast to hypogamy.
  زواج ترفيع – التصرف أو الممارسة المتمثلة في البحث عن زوجة ذات مكانة اجتماعية اقتصادية أعلى، أو حالة طبقية أكثر من المرء؛ النقيض من زواج تخفيض.
