• On 3 November the FSA had attacked the Taftanaz military airport in the northern province of Idlib in the early hours using rocket launchers and at least three tanks.

• By 5 April, the military captured Taftanaz's city center, which was defended by 200 armed revolutionaries, after a two-hour battle, following which the army reportedly rounded up and executed 82 people.
