  وتطوع عدد من النساء في الجانب الفيتنامي الشمالي كصحفيين مثل الكاتبة لي مينه خوي التي تطوعت مع جيش فيتنام الشمالي بما في ذلك على طريق هو تشي منه وكذلك على جبهات القتال.
• Most cities were recaptured within weeks, except the former capital city of Huế in which NVA and Viet Cong troops captured most of the city and citadel except the headquarters of the 1st Division and held on in the fighting for 26 days.
  واسترداد المناطق التي احتلتها قوات الفيت كونغ في غضون أسابيع، باستثناء العاصمة السابقة هوي، حيث استولت الفيت كونغ و قوات جيش فيتنام الشمالي على قلعة الامبراطور وجزء كبير من المدينة باستثناء مقر الفرقة الأولى وتم تحريرها بعد قتال استمر 26 يومًا.
