• From August 2009 to February 2010, Harfouch was head of the foreign press department for the candidate, and later president of Ukraine, Victor Ianoukovytch.

• After this event, the song "Protect the Life", produced by Harfouch and composed by his brother Omar, became known as the anthem for the fight against SIDA in Ukraine.
  نتيجة لهذا الحدث ، الأغنية الشهيرة "أحمي الحياة " التي أنتجها وليد حرفوش والتي نظمها أخوه عمر حرفوش ، أصبحت سريعا ، نشيد القضاء على السيدا في أوكرانيا .
