• Acting under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, the resolution condemned the refusal of the Iraqi authorities to allow access to sites designated by the Special Commission, in violation of previous Security Council resolutions.
  وقد أدان القرار، متصرفا بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، رفض السلطات العراقية السماح بالوصول إلى المواقع التي حددتها اللجنة الخاصة، في انتهاك لقرارات مجلس الأمن السابقة.
• Acting under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, the Council condemned the Iraqi non-compliance with previous Security Council resolutions and the memorandum of understanding signed earlier in 1998 and demanded that it withdraw its refusal.
  وقد أدان المجلس، متصرفًا بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، عدم امتثال العراق لقرارات مجلس الأمن السابقة و‌مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة في وقت سابق من عام 1998 وطالب بسحب رفضه.
• The Council was determined to ensure full compliance by Iraq of its obligations under previous Security Council resolutions, and to allow UNSCOM and the IAEA access to any sites they requested; any attempts to restrict this were unacceptable.
  وقد صمم المجلس على ضمان الامتثال التام من جانب العراق لالتزاماته بموجب قرارات مجلس الأمن السابقة، والسماح لليونسكوم والوكالة بالوصول إلى أي مواقع تطلبها؛ وأي محاولات لتقييد هذا الأمر غير مقبولة.
• The Security Council was convinced of the need of a temporary measure to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people until the fulfillment of Security Council resolutions by the Iraqi government, notably Resolution 661 (1991) and Resolution 687 (1991).
  وأعرب مجلس الأمن عن اقتناعه بالحاجة إلى تدبير مؤقت لتقديم المساعدة الإنسانية إلى الشعب العراقي إلى أن تنفذ الحكومة العراقية قرارات مجلس الأمن، ولا سيما القرار 661 (1991) والقرار 687 (1991).
• The Security Council welcomed steps the Libyan government had taken to comply with Security Council resolutions concerning the acceptance of responsibility of Libyan officials, compensation payments, renouncing terrorism and a commitment to co-operate with further requests for information in the investigation.
  رحب مجلس الأمن بالخطوات التي اتخذتها الحكومة الليبية للامتثال لقرارات مجلس الأمن المتعلقة بقبول المسؤولين الليبيين للمسؤولية، ودفع التعويضات، والتخلي عن الإرهاب، والالتزام بالتعاون مع المزيد من طلبات الحصول على المعلومات في التحقيق.
• Iran also argues that the UN Security Council resolutions demanding a suspension of enrichment constitute a violation of Article IV of the Non-Proliferation Treaty which recognizes the inalienable right of signatory nations to nuclear technology "for peaceful purposes."
  وتقول إيران أيضاً أن قرارات مجلس الأمن الدولي الذي يطالب بتعليق تخصيب يشكل انتهاكاً للمادة الرابعة من معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية والتي تعترف بحق غير قابل للتصرف من الدول الموقعة على التكنولوجيا النووية "لأغراض سلمية".
• United Nations Security Council Resolution 279, adopted unanimously on May 12, 1970, at 12 words is the shortest Security Council resolution ever adopted; it reads simply "Demands the immediate withdrawal of all Israeli armed forces from Lebanese territory."
  (ديسمبر 2018) قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة رقم 279، الذي اعتمد بالإجماع في 12 مايو 1970، هو أقصر قرارات مجلس الأمن المعتمدة على الإطلاق بـ10 كلمات؛ نصه ببساطة "المطالبة بالانسحاب الفوري لجميع القوات المسلحة الإسرائيلية من الأراضي اللبنانية."
• It requested UNPROFOR to monitor the compliance with the ban, including the possibility of placing observers at airfields in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, and to ensure that the purpose of flights to Bosnia and Herzegovina is consistent with Security Council resolutions.
  وطلب إلى قوة الأمم المتحدة للحماية أن ترصد الامتثال للحظر، بما في ذلك إمكانية وضع مراقبين في المطارات في أراضي يوغوسلافيا السابقة، وأن تكفل أن يكون الغرض من الرحلات الجوية إلى البوسنة والهرسك متسقا مع قرارات مجلس الأمن.

• The Security Council noted a report of independent experts and communications by the Organisation of African Unity, the League of Arab States, the Non-Aligned Movement and Organisation of the Islamic Conference and, acting under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, demanded that Libya comply with previous Security Council resolutions.
  أحاط مجلس الأمن علما بتقرير الخبراء المستقلين والرسائل المقدمة من منظمة الوحدة الأفريقية، وجامعة الدول العربية، وحركة عدم الانحياز، ومنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي، وطالب ليبيا، بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، بأن تمتثل لقرارات مجلس الأمن السابقة.
