• It was one of the residences of Archbishops of Strasbourg, rulers of the Prince-Bishopric of Strasbourg, which was an ecclesiastical principality of the Holy Roman Empire from the 13th century until 1803.
  وكانت واحدة من مساكن أساقفة ستراسبورغ، وأمراء-أساقفة ستراسبورغ، حيث كانت المنطقة إمارة كنسيّة وجزء من الإمبراطورية الرومانية المقدسة من القرن الثالث عشر حتى 1803.

  اليوم تتكوّن الكنيسة من 1,249 تجمع وتضم أربع مقاطعات كنسيّة، كما وتضم الكنيسة في عضويتها أكثر من 1.6 مليون نسمة أو حوالي 15.9% من سكان المجر، مما يجعلها في المرتبة الثانية بعد الكنيسة الرومانية الكاثوليكية من حيث الحجم في المجر.
