  أحاط مجلس الأمن علما بتقرير الخبراء المستقلين والرسائل المقدمة من منظمة الوحدة الأفريقية، وجامعة الدول العربية، وحركة عدم الانحياز، ومنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي، وطالب ليبيا، بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، بأن تمتثل لقرارات مجلس الأمن السابقة.
