• Israeli newspaper Haaretz described Hezbollah as a trained, skilled, well-organized, and highly motivated infantry that was equipped with the cream of modern weaponry from the arsenals of Syria, Iran, Russia, and China.
  كما أفادت صحيفة هاآرتس أن حزب الله ليس مجموعة صغيرة من الميليشيات بل هو مشاة مدربة وماهرة ومنظمة تنظيما جيدا ومتحمسة للغاية ومجهزة بالأسلحة الحديثة من ترسانات سوريا وإيران وروسيا وجمهورية الصين الشعبية والتي هي على دراية جدا مع الإقليم الذي تقاتل فيه.
• According to CBC News and The Wall Street Journal, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, along with an independent investigation carried out by brigadier general Wissam Al-Hassan the head of intelligence-oriented information branch of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces had found compelling evidence for the responsibility of Lebanese group Hezbollah in the assassination.
  استنادا لسي بي سي نيوز، وصحيفة وول ستريت وصحيفة هاآرتس الإسرائيلية، بالإضافة إلى المحكمة الدولية الخاصة بلبنان جنبا إلى تحقيق مستقل قام به النقيب وسام الحسن، فإنه تم العثور على أدلة دامغة تثبت تورط عناصر من حزب الله في عملية الإغتيال.
• Haaretz reported in March 2007 that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert testified to the Winograd Commission that several meetings regarding Hezbollah were held upon his taking office, and that in response to the likely scenario of soldiers again being abducted, he chose one of several plans of action instead of having to make a snap-judgement if and when such a scenario occurred.
  نفى المسؤولون الأمريكيون والإسرائيليون هذه المزاعم كما أفادت صحيفة هاآرتس في مارس 2007 أن رئيس الوزراء إيهود أولمرت شهد أمام لجنة فينوغراد بأن عدة اجتماعات تتعلق بحزب الله كانت قد عقدت عند توليه منصبه وأنه ردا على السيناريو المحتمل لخطف الجنود مرة أخرى اختار واحد من عدة خطط عمل بدلا من الاضطرار إلى إصدار حكم مبهم إذا ومتى حدث مثل هذا السيناريو.
