IAB is an organisation established in 1998 under the patronage of the esteem Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Dhorat hafizahullah to engender a greater understanding of Islam in young and old alike, amongst Muslims and interested Non-Muslims. تأسست الأكاديمية في سنة 1998 تحت رعاية واحترام الشيخ محمد سليم درة حافظ الله لتوليد فهم أكبر للإسلام في الصغار والكبار على حد سواء بين المسلمين وغير المسلمين المهتمين.
Along with the establishment of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, Sheikh Mohammed also issued a law to join the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) with the centre and consider it one of its affiliated institutions. وتزامناً مع تأسيس المركز أصدر الشيخ محمد بن راشد أيضاً قانوناً بضم مؤسسة الإمارات للعلوم والتقنية المتقدمة "إياست" إلى المركز واعتبارها واحدة من المؤسسات التابعة للمركز.
