صلاح الدين الأيوبي

• Saladin aimed to persuade the caliph claiming that while he conquered Egypt and Yemen under the flag of the Abbasids, the Zengids of Mosul openly supported the Seljuks (rivals of the caliphate) and only came to the caliph when in need.
  حاول صلاح الدين الأيوبي إقناع الخليفة معللاً طلبه بأنه في الوقت الذي فتح مصر واليمن وأعادها تحت راية العباسيين، كان الزنكيون في الموصل يؤيدون صراحة السلاجقة (منافسي الخلافة)، ولم يخضعوا للخليفة إلا وقت حاجتهم إليه.
• The series focuses on the biography of Salah ad-Din and highlights his courage and good creation and wisdom as he tells how he managed to unite the Muslims and crush the crusaders in the battle of Hattin and restore Jerusalem after being taken away by the Crusaders for almost a hundred years.
  يركز المسلسل على سيرة صلاح الدين الأيوبي ويبرز شجاعته وحسن خلقه وحنكته كما يحكي كيف استطاع توحيد المسلمين وسحق الصليبين في معركة حطين الشهيرة واستعادة القدس بعد أن انتزعها الصليبيون منذ قرابة المائة عام.
• The ancient records and manuscripts kept by the various Christian denominations in their monasteries all record the Nuseibeh family’s relationship and that of their ancestral forefathers from the Bani Ghanim al-Khazraj to the Holy Sepulchre, at least since the time of Saladin more than 800 years ago, specifically since 1192, when Sultan Saladin and King Richard the Lionheart concluded an agreement allowing western Christian pilgrims to visit the Holy Sepulchre under certain stipulations.
