جبال البرانس

• Felipe VI of Spain uses the title King of Navarre as part of his more extended titulary, inherited from earlier monarchs of Spain (Castile and Aragon) and based on the conquest of the majority of the ancient kingdom by Ferdinand II of Aragon.
  فيليبي السادس ملك إسبانيا يستخدم لقب ملك نافارا كجزء من ألقابه الطويلة، ورث هذا اللقب من ملوك إسبانيا في وقت سابق (قشتالة وأراغون)، استناداً على الاستيلاء الغالبية مملكة نافارا القديمة جنوب جبال البرانس من قبل فرناندو الثاني .
• Because the Romans had to fight against the Franks, who plundered Cologne and Trier in 435, and because of other events Theodoric saw the chance to conquer Narbo Martius (in 436) to obtain access to the Mediterranean Sea and the roads to the Pyrenees.

• The population is sufficiently large to sustain Scouting (by population, the largest of the 5 microstates with 78,115 according to a 2011 census), but the Scout association of the tiny enclave in the Pyrenees, Scouts d'Andorra, has been dormant since the 1980s and at present there is no Scouting movement.
  عدد السكان كبير بما فيه الكفاية للحفاظ على الكشافة (من حيث عدد السكان، وأكبر من 5 دول صغيرة مع 78115 وفقا لتعداد اتخذت في عام 2011)، ولكن جمعية كشافة جيب صغير في جبال البرانس، كشافة أندورا، كانت نائمة منذ الثمانينات و في الوقت الحاضر لا توجد حركة كشفية.
• Prior to the Treaty of the Pyrenees in 1659, most of the present department was part of the former Principality of Catalonia, within the Crown of Aragon, therefore part of the Kingdom of Spain, so the majority of it has historically been Catalan-speaking, and it is still referred to as Northern Catalonia.
