The first political organisation in the province, the Madras Native Association, was established by Gazulu Lakshminarasu Chetty on 26 February 1852. أول منظمة سياسية في المقاطعة كانت جمعية مدراس الأصلية، أسسها جازولو لاكشميناراسو شيتي في 26 فبراير عام 1852.
