The Daraa offensive (January 2015), was a rebel offensive launched in Daraa Governorate during the Syrian civil war, in an attempt to capture the remaining Army positions in Shaykh Maskin, and thus secure the Daraa–Damascus highway, and other positions in Daraa province. هجوم درعا (يناير 2015)، كان هجوماً للثوار أطلق في محافظة درعا خلال الحرب الأهلية السورية، في محاولة للاستيلاء على مواقع الجيش المتبقية في الشيخ مسكين، وهكذا يؤمنون طريق درعا–دمشق، ومواقع أخرى في محافظة درعا.

In 1707, the shaykh al-balad, Qasim Iywaz, was the head of one of two Mameluke factions, the Qasimites and the Fiqarites, between whom the seeds of enmity were sown by the pasha of the time, with the result that a fight took place between the factions outside Cairo, lasting eighty days. عام 1707، كان شيخ البلد، قاسم عويس، رئيس إحدى الفصائل المملوكية، كان رئيس إحدى فصيلين مملوكيين، وقد زُرعت بذور العداوة من قبل باشا في ذلك الوقت، وكانت النتيجة وقعت معركة بين الفصائل خارج القاهرة، واستمر ثمانين يوما.

In 2011, AlSyed Muhammad Ziauddin Al-Qadri Al-Gillani visited Bradford for a second occasion, where he presided over a conference that has been held annually by Syed Khalid Ali Tahiri to commemorate the death anniversary of his Shaykh AlSyed Tahir Allauddin Al-Gillani During this visit, he also visited Darbar-e-Ghousia Qadiria Tahiria UK and the residence of Syed Khalid Ali Tahiri. في عام 2011، زار السيد محمد ضياء الدين القادري الجيلاني برادفورد للمرة الثانية، حيث ترأس مؤتمراً سنوياً يقام على يد السيد خالد علي الطاهري لإحياء ذكرى وفاة الشيخ السيد طاهر علاء الدين الجيلاني خلال هذه الزيارة زار أيضاً داربار الغوسية القادرية التحليلية البريطانية ومقر إقامة السيد خالد علي الطاهري.
