Deanship of Research In consistence with Jordan's efforts to develop and use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and lessen its dependence on fossil fuel, and in co-ordinance with the Department of Nuclear Engineering of JUST, a nuclear research reactor, the first in the country, has been set to be built in the university campus which will serve as an integral part of the nuclear technology infrastructure of Jordan. في إطار جهود الأردن الساعية لتطوير واستخدام الطاقة النووية للأغراص السلمية وتقليل اعتمادها على الطاقة غير المتجددة مثل النفط والغاز، وبتعاون وإشراف قسم الهندسة النووية في الجامعة، فقد بُني المفاعل النووي البحثي الأول من نوعه في البلاد في حرم الجامعة والذي أصبح له دور محوري في البنية التحتية المتعلقة بالطاقة النووية الأردنية.
