Sandnes was formerly known as the pottery town of Norway – due to the important ceramics industry based on the extensive occurrence of clay in the surroundings. بسبب صناعة الخزف الهامة التي بُنيت على التواجد الكثيف لمادة الصلصال في المناطق المحيطة بها.
