The town of Uusikaupunki was founded as a town with the rights of commerce in 1617 by decree by Gustav II Adolf. تأسست مدينة أوسيكاوبونكي كبلدة بحقوق تجارية سنة 1617 بمرسوم من قبل الملك غوستاف الثاني أدولف.
