Yathrib was renamed the city of the Prophet, El Medina. يثرب تغير اسمها إلى مدينة الرسول ، المدينة.
Yathrib would henceforth become known as Medina. يثرب عرفت بعد ذلك بإسم المــدينة
Yathrib was quite different from Mecca. يثرب كانت تختلف كثيرا عن مكة
Nobody, that is, until the clans of Yathrib heard about the trustworthy Muhammad. ما من أحد ينقذهم حتى سمعت العشائر فى يثرب عن الصادق الأمين محـــمد
The people of Yathrib vowed that they would take the Muslims on board as honorary tribesmen, they would be their protectors. أهل يثرب تعهدوا بأن يعاملوا المسلمين كمعاملتهم لأهليهم و بحمايتهم
The Jews shared Yathrib with two Arab clans that who were sometimes friendly and other times quite hostile. يهود يثرب يتشارؤكون العيش مع قبيلتينين عربيتين التي كانت العلاقة بينهما أحيانا ودية وأحيان أخرى معادية.
Muhammad agreed to travel to Yathrib and settle their disputes in exchange for a safe refuge for his people. وافق محمد على الأنتقال إلي يثرب لحل المنازعات القائمة بينهم فى مقابل قبول اللجوء السياسى الاّمن للمهاجرين
He astonished the whole Muslim community and the whole community of Yathrib by announcing that he was going to go on the Hajj pilgrimage لقد أذهل المجتمع المسلم بالكامل فى يثرب بإعلانه أنه سوف يذهب الى الحج
Muhammad's goal among the people of Yathrib was the same as his larger mission... to bring unity and peace with his message... كان هدف محمد بين أهل يثرب هو نفس الهدف من رسالته وهو جلب الوحدة والسلام من خلال رسالته
Hoping he could unify its warring factions which included two major pagan tribes and their Jewish allies a delegation from Yathrib had taken the dramatic step of inviting Muhammad to move to their settlement. يحدوهم الأمل أن يقوم بتوحيد صفوفهم والتى كانت تضم قبيلتين رئسيتين وحلفائهم من اليهود وكان وفد من أهل يثرب قد أخذ قراره بدعوة محمد للإنتقال الى مستوطنتهم
