Later, when the Israelites sinned at the incident of the spies, God reminded Moses that he had suggested that God be longsuffering only with the righteous, to which Moses recounted that God had promised to be longsuffering even with the wicked. فلما زاغوا أزاغ الله قلوبهم ، والله لايهدي القوم الفاسقين ) ،وإذن فقد انتهت قوامة قوم موسي على دين الله ، فلم يعودوا أمناء عليه ،مذ زاغوا فأزاغ الله قلوبهم ، ومذ ضلوا فأضلهم الله والله لايهدي القوم الفاسقين.
